Where Shall We Go Today?

What happens when one version of a parallel reality is open to the public while the other houses a struggling part-time superhero grappling with anxiety? In the video Where Shall We Go Today?, experts from different fields are invited to The Other Apartment in Pittsburgh to share practices of coping and resilience with Super Sohrab, a part-time superhero living alone in Tehran during the Covid-19 pandemic, as they attempt to maintain mental and physical wellbeing.
Operating through the spatial and political loophole of The Other Apartment, Super Sohrab is visited by a therapist, a dance teacher, a Tai chi master, and a voice instructor. Each encounter unfolds as a session shaped by vulnerability, persistence, and humour, revealing forms of care and survival across distance.
Super Sohrab, Sohrab Kashani’s alter ego, employs satire and embraces failure while navigating the everyday conditions of life in Iran.
